The Brief
This client wanted a rear extension on a lower level to their existing house, taking advantage of the step-down look that was available to them.
After a soil reported that the ground was quite damp in this area, the structure was built using the block and beam system. This allows for a solid floor to be raised from the external ground level allowing water to flow freely below the house.
